GO Summer 2022 welcomed all students back in person for the first time since the pandemic began, and we saw impressive learning gains at four of our host-site independent school campuses, including Avenues: The World School, The Berkeley Carroll School, Grace Church School, and St. Luke's School. Beating the summer learning slide, nearly 75% of students grew one month or more in reading, and more than half demonstrated growth in math!
Lauren Bryant, Head Teacher, 1st Grade, supported our virtual classrooms over the pandemic and when she moved to NYC, took on the in-person job this summer. "I love the community building aspect of GO!"
Chamari Davis, Director of Campus Instruction (DCI), Berkeley Carroll School, was a new DCI who led instruction this summer at our Brooklyn campus. "It's been nice to foster relationships with our teachers. Being the person to cultivate community at Berkeley Carroll has been a huge pleasure."
Kamalpreet Bhullar, Enrichment Teacher, Nutrition, taught our students all about good nutrition and together they created some appetizing dishes that our young chefs can try at home! "When I got to America, I was intrigued by the school system and loved what GO does to support students who may not have access to private schools and need more education support."
Congratulations to all of our young learners on another succesful summer at GO Project!
