Wendy Reynoso

Executive Director

Wendy joined GO in July 2002, was promoted to Director of Education and Programs in 2004 and became GO’s Executive Director in July 2006.  Wendy held previous positions with Brainstorm After-School, Inc., Reading is Fundamental and Oberlin Upward Bound.  Wendy holds a C.A.S. in Educational Administration from Steinhardt School of Education, New York University, an Ed. M. in the Sociology of Education with a concentration in Educational Policy from Teachers College, Columbia University, a M.A. in Elementary/Childhood Education from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a B.A. from Oberlin College.  Wendy is a Member of Kappa Delta Pi International Honor Society in Education and is fluent in Spanish.

 

Brian Reilly

Director of Programs

Brian joined GO in August 2004 as a Site Manager and in 2005 developed and taught the Cat MacRae expository writing program.  Brian now serves as GO’s part-time Program Director.  Since 1999, Brian has been a teacher at Grace Church School.  Brian earned an MA in English Literature from Hunter College and a BA in Journalism from George Washington University.  Brian was a reporter for the Washington Times, Washington, D.C.

 

Stephanie Weldon

Social Worker, LMSW

Stephanie joined GO in 2002 as a part-time social worker and has been instrumental in developing GO Families.  Stephanie held previous positions with Free Arts for Abused Children, Sports and Arts Foundation, Inc., the Jewish Board of Family and Children’s Services and Syracuse University.  Stephanie currently works with the American Institute of Psychoanalysis.  Stephanie possesses a Masters in Social Work from Hunter College, and a BA from Syracuse University.  Stephanie speaks Spanish fluently.

 

Diana Gasperoni

Social Worker, LMSW

Diana joined GO in September 2006 as GO’s second, part-time social worker.  Diana held previous positions with Teen Choice, the Greenwich House Counseling Center, and Grand Street Settlement, and maintains a private practice.  Diana possesses a Master of Social Work from New York University School of Social Work, a BS in Psychology from Salem State College, and completed a one-year program at the Center for Modern Psychoanalysis.  Diana also teaches yoga.

 

Lauren Turner

Site Manager at GCS

Lauren joined GO in July 2006 and is the Site Manager at Grace Church School.  Lauren is a teacher at the Grace Church School and held previous positions with the Florentine School, Hollingworth Center Science Camp, Hunter College Elementary School and Arlington Country Day School.  Lauren received a MA in Gifted Education from Teachers College, Columbia University, and an AB in English from Duke University.

 

Dot Portella

Manager of Tutor Recruitment

Dot Portella has worked with the GO Project in many different capacities.  She began in 2003 as a substitute teacher for the GO Summer session, and then taught Drama for GO the following summer.  Dot was the volunteer assistant site coordinator at LREI for GO School in the 2005-2006 program year.  In September 2006, Dot was named the manager of Tutor Recruitment.  Dot earned her Masters in Educational Theatre at NYU.  In addition to being a certified public school teacher, she is also a professional actress.

 

Callie Siegel

Director of Development

Callie joined GO in October 2006 as GO’s Director of Development.  Callie held previous positions with Community Resource Exchange, Lawyers for Children, the GO Project, Eva Moskowitz for Manhattan Borough President, Massachusetts Citizens for Children.  Callie received a BA in Child Development from Tufts, Magna Cum Laude, 2004, and completed advanced coursework at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College. 

 

Robert Martin

Director of Finance and Administration

Bob joined GO in 2005 as Director of Finance and Administration.  Bob held previous positions with Sheldrake Environmental Center, National Executive Service Corps, Windward School, Berkshire Capital Corporation, Painewebber Incorporated, and The First Boston Corporation.  Bob received his MBA, Finance, from Columbia University Graduate School of Business and an AB, International Relations, from Brown University.  Bob served as a First Lieutenant, U.S. Army, was awarded a Bronze Star Medal and granted an Honorable Discharge.

 

Olivia Nunez

Program Analyst

Olivia joined the GO Project in September 2007 as GO’s new Program Analyst. Olivia held previous positions with Cravath, Swaine and Moore LLP, The Committee on the Administration of Justice, The Northern Ireland Human Rights Commission and The Legal Aid Society. Olivia possesses a BA in Political Science from Dartmouth College, Cum Laude, 2005, and an MA with Distinction in Comparative Ethnic Conflict from Queen’s University Belfast. Olivia speaks Spanish fluently.

 

Claudia Sigala

Development/Office Assistant

Claudia joined The GO Project in September 2007 as a Development/Office Assistant. Claudia has previously worked with many non-profit organization including Big Brothers, Big Sisters in Texas, Hospice, and Centro Hispano “Cuzcatlan” in Queens. Claudia possesses a BA in Sociology from St. John’s University, 2007. Claudia speaks Spanish fluently.

 

Jing Yu

Chinese Translator

Jing joined The GO Project in April 2007 as GO’s freelance Chinese translator. She possesses a BA in Education from China and has many teaching experiences. She is also a freelance Chinese language teacher.  She translates all of the written materials for our Chinese families.
