Deadline to Apply to the GO Project: May 5, 2008
Enrollment Eligibility:
- All students below grade level (particularly those in early or extended day programs) in Public Schools in Manhattan below 14th street who are currently enrolled in Grades 1-3 are encouraged to apply. (Preference given to students in 1st and 2nd grade.)
- Preference is given to Free/Reduced Lunch recipients and they are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Families must be able to commit to the GO Project’s year-round student programming, which means active student attendance from July 2008 to April 2009.
Application Process:
- The GO Student Application Form 2008-2009 and a copy of the student’s most recent school report card must be submitted by the application deadline of Monday, May 5, 2008.
- The Financial Aid Application is available for families seeking financial assistance for the GO Project’s Program Fee ($100 per accepted student). Financial Aid is optional for all students and will not affect a student’s acceptance into the GO Project.
- Acceptance notification will be available as of Monday, May 26, 2008. Students who are accepted into the GO Project will have to reply with a confirmation and complete the acceptance packet forms by Monday, June 9, 2008.
- A Program Fee of $100 by money order must be submitted no later than two weeks after acceptance into the GO Project. Families who have applied for Financial Aid will have four weeks after acceptance to mail in the Program Fee.
Financial Aid Eligibility:
- The Financial Aid Application must be submitted with the Student Application.
- Financial Aid availability is based on the financial needs of our families and the scholarship funds available to the GO Project.
- Even with financial aid, each student must pay a minimum of $20.
